| Saint John students and faculty "dressed down" and generously donated $540.65 to Father Ralph's school, Holy Name of Mary Academy. This money can be used for student tuition and meals ($2/month per child), teacher salary ($500/year) or the purchase of pigs for their new farm ($100/pig). God bless Father Ralph! We look forward to seeing him again next year. |
CONGRATULATIONS to LEAH SIMMON on being awarded the 2011 Douglas Russell Memorial Scholarship! Douglas Russell was a St. John Catholic School student from 1989-1995, who was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia. He died on October 25, 1995. The Douglas Russell Memorial Scholarship Award was begun to keep the memory of Douglas’ spirit alive. Students are selected on their interest in science, love of reading and writing, and desire to learn more about religion. We congratulate Leah and thank the Russell family for establishing this sponsorship award |
