Mrs. Melissa Maggs

Melissa Maggs is the kindergarten teacher at Saint John Catholic School. Melissa is originally from Muncy, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Bloomsburg University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education. She is certified to teach k-6th grade. Mrs. Maggs resides in Bellefonte with her husband and seven children. She has been a stay at home mom for several years. It has been during this time that she feels she has learned the most valuable information. She enjoys spending time with her family and loves to read, especially books about her Catholic faith.

Mrs. Maggs' philosophy deals with the "whole child". She is committed to create an academic atmosphere that encourages personal growth, love, and mutual respect. Her goal is to meet all Pennsylvania standards set for kindergarten and to provide a Christian atmosphere that fosters a love for learning and a love for God.
