Mrs. Karen Moore

Karen Moore has been the music and library instructor at Saint John School since 2002. Prior to this, Karen was a home-school teacher, and substitute in the Bald Eagle, Bellefonte, and State College Area School Districts.

Karen is a native of Centre County. She was born in Bellefonte and grew up in Wingate, attending the Bald Eagle Area School. After graduating from high school, Karen attended Mansfield State College where she attained a degree in Music Education and later received her Master’s degree in Education, with a certification as a School Library Media Specialist.

Karen currently resides in Wingate with her husband. She has two grown children and various pets. She is active in her church and enjoys spending time with her family and working with her animals.

Karen’s favorite aspect of teaching at Saint John is being able to share her faith with her students. She wants all her students to enjoy music and tries to make her classes fun as well as educational.
