We believe that many diverse educational experiences will help students learn about their world
and the teachings of the Catholic Church.
We, in cooperation with parents, endeavor to prepare students to live and work responsibly by
developing an awareness of themselves and the world around them.
PHILOSOPHY
The purpose of St. John the
Evangelist Catholic School is to
provide a community
environment where students can
grow academically, socially,
emotionally, and spiritually.
Teachers strive to serve as
strong Christian role models
where the message of Jesus is
lived daily and where each
student is seen as a gift from
God to be guided with love and
discipline.
As the Body of Christ is present in the heart of the chapel, so is Christ at the center of study.
Students from Pre-Kindergarten through Fifth Grade encounter a unique religious curriculum
following the teachings reflected in the Catechism of the Roman Catholic Church. Our
students receive an equally important foundation in Language Arts, Mathematics, Science
and History, giving them the tools necessary to excel in their studies once they leave Saint
John Catholic School. The use of our school computer lab and classroom SMART Boards
allows teachers the capability to incorporate valuable computer skills and internet research
into all subject areas. Music, Art and Physical Education classes, along with remedial
reading, remedial math and enrichment services, provide for a well-rounded education.
